Nollywood actress and singer Angela Okorie has taken to social media to expose her ex-boyfriend, popularly known as Oil Money, accusing him of using their relationship to climb the social ladder. In a series of emotional Instagram stories, the actress revealed that the man she once loved had ulterior motives and was primarily interested in leveraging her status to connect with influential women in Lagos and the Nigerian entertainment industry.
Angela expressed her deep disappointment, stating that she felt used and betrayed. According to her, she discovered messages on Oil Money's phone showing that he had been plotting to associate himself with wealthy and powerful women. She claimed he not only cheated on her but also targeted some of her female colleagues, hoping to gain relevance and recognition through them.
“He was never genuine,” Angela said in her posts. “He only wanted to use me to get into the circle of successful women in the industry. He was texting some of my close friends, trying to get close to them behind my back.”
Heartbroken and disillusioned, the actress has cut all ties with him—blocking him on all platforms and deleting his photos from her social media. Angela also made it clear that she would be much more private about her personal life moving forward. She stated that any future relationships will remain off the public radar until marriage, as a way to protect her peace and avoid further exploitation.
